Dolly Parton escaped the struggles of her life early on through her imaginative and creative imagination. Before she could write and read, she began to compose the songs she wrote herself. She got her first guitar when she was 8 and started performing on an Knoxville Tenn radio station at age eleven. That following time, Gold Band Records was an independent label.
