Taylor

Taylor Swift has become a rare pop phenomenon: A superstar who crossed over completely from the world of country music to pop culture, becoming the pop icon of the future that will last forever and conquering every corner of the globe. Swift let go of the influences from her country music like they were an extra layer of skin and revealed she was among the finest singers/songwriters from her generation. Swift could make the moment personal or harness it for her benefit. The skills she displayed were apparent on her early hits including the Neo-Tribute Tim McGraw but her second album 2008's Fearless showed a writer discovering her true identity and, in doing so, gaining a mass audience. The album was a huge success, not just in the United States, having six platinum-certified singles. In fact, the Top Ten songs Love Story and the hit song You Belong with Me were the main reasons for this. But, it also did well all over the world. Swift's new album, Speak Now, released just two years after the first one, consolidated the success of this album. It helped propel Swift to the heights of fame. She grew in popularity over the course of her three subsequent albums - Red (2012) 1989 (2014) and Reputation (2017). Swift had now established herself in the genre she was a part of. Even when she scaled back her approach with 2020's stripped-down sister album folklore, and Evermore she continued to be atop of the world of pop, a position she maintained with re-recordings of her earlier catalog, as well as Midnights her chart-topping synth-heavy 2022 collection.
