Lee
Lee Roy Selmon's story combines the football scholarship of his family as well as service in the local community. The first family is his youngest of the nine children born to Lucious Selmon and Jessie. They grew up on a farm in Eufala, Oklahoma. Two football. He is among the three brothers that participated in the football team of Oklahoma. All three brothers were All-Americans. Lucious Jr. Dewey & Lee Roy started for one season in 1973. Lee Roy is the winner of both Outland Awards as well as Lombardi Awards. He was one of the top linemen in across the country. He was awarded two championships as well as 31-1-1 during his three years as the Oklahoma's starting linebacker. Selmon was given a second scholarship in 1975 and named as an National Football Foundation Student-Athlete. Selmon has a bachelor's degree in educational studies. Fourth year of college Lee Roy devoted ten hours every week for volunteer activities. Following graduation, Lee Roy settled in Tampa and spent the next 9 years with the Buccaneers. There were three times, he was named All-Pro. Lee Roy began his professional career. The first position he held was a Account Relations Officer with First Florida Bank, Tampa. In the past, he worked previously for the Special Olympics Easter Seals Baptist Church Ronald McDonald House United Negro College Fund South Florida Institute Black Life Hall of Fame Bowl Committee. In 1982 the Junior Chamber of Commerce recognized Lee Roy as being among 10 of America's most outstanding young men. Lee Roy stood 6-2 in the height department and weighed 256 lbs when he was a student athlete. He captained the 1975 team. He joined University of South Florida in 1993 as the associate director of sports. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame since 1988. In 1989, the Oklahoma City Chapter National Football Foundation awarded its Distinguished American Award Mr. Lucious Jr. Henry Bellmon is the Oklahoma governor, who presented this award.
